Robotization of payment terminal tests

ENG ROBOT

… Who can benefit?

Robotization of payment terminal tests is designed for our customers in the payment industry, in particular payment terminal manufacturers, who are looking to automate their functional tests and certification tests.

What are the benefits for customers?

1. Respond to a need for automation at several levels

  • Fully automate EMV Level 2 (L2) certification tests.
  • Fully automate EMV Level 3 (L3) certification tests.
  • Implement a full chain of continuous integration or endurance testing for payment terminals under real-world conditions.

2. Benefit from the advanced features of KaNest-ICC and the Ponant Technologies robot

A Fully automate EMV Level 2 (L2) certification tests

  • Repeatable and reproducible test campaigns with reliable results.
  • Control and optimization of test campaign costs and deadlines.
  • Programming (configuration, test sequences and campaigns) accessible to payment specialists in their business language.
  • An “abstraction” of the terminal:

o the same test script can be used for a whole range of products.

o only one configuration to be performed on the robot for a new product: screen and key location.

  • An autonomy in the realization of tests adapted to its applications (specific GUI, kinematics of a specific payment scheme …) thanks to eTASQ Motion and KaNest®.

Using certified products with several possible configurations

  • Level 2 and Level 3 certified test suites from the various payment systems (American Express, Discover® Global Network, Mastercard, Visa, JCB, nexo…) and EMVCo and used by accredited laboratories for the evaluation of acceptance systems (“Type Approval”).
  • Various payment modules available: Contact, ContactLess, Swipe and ticket management.
  • A card simulator to verify the compliance of contact and contactless card acceptance systems (“Level 2 and Level 3 tests”), based on ISO 7816 or ISO 14443.
  • A tool recognized as the most relevant simulator for interoperability tests.
  • A non-intrusive robot that reproduces the exact conditions of a field operation by sensitizing 3 senses: touch, sight (e.g. OCR text recognition, color etc.) and sound.
  • Several levels of results available (from the summary of the test campaign to the in-depth analysis of an exchange) thanks to the traces of the execution of the sequences which can be used later (Certification, R&D Test, L2, L3).
